According to a recent press release, Band Geeks is a documentary that follows the Burlington Teen Tour Band, Canada’s oldest youth marching band, as they prepare for the 2018 Rose Parade.

The Rose Parade is typically known as the highlight in a marching band’s career.
There are typically one million people lining the streets in Pasadena, California, where the parade is held, and viewers from 150 countries.
The documentary will unfold as the young musicians get ready for the performance of a lifetime.
The band’s performance will surely be one that will make Burlington proud.
“The Burlington Teen Tour Band is a perfect example of what our youth can accomplish,” Chris Glenn, Director of Parks and Recreation, said in a recent press release.
“Not only are they dedicated to presenting their personal best, but also to supporting each other. We are thrilled they call Burlington home and immensely proud of them every time they perform.”
The documentary premieres on Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 p.m. on CBC.
Band Geeks is produced in union with the CBC, the Canada Media Fund, with help from the Ontario Media Development Corporation, the Rogers Documentary Fund and with the assistance of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.
