Some sport fields in Burlington will remain closed over the weekend.

Some sport fields in Burlington will remain closed over the weekend.

On May 8 the city announced that all grass multi-use fields and ball diamonds were closed due to extreme saturation and additional rain in the upcoming forecast.

Fields and diamonds were reassessed today (May 10) and it was ultimately decided that they will remain closed until May 12 for the same reasons.

Artificial turf fields are still open.
