Burlington residents are encouraged to celebrate youth and their active participation in the community this week during National Youth Week.

Every year in May, the City of Burlington celebrates Youth Week. While things look a little different this year due to COVID-19, virtual activities will be available throughout the week on the city’s website.

“It’s Youth Week and we want to celebrate YOU! You inspire us with your innovative, unique, caring spirits. You are our future!” read the City of Burlington’s website.

“You are an integral part of the Burlington community. We are committed to make sure you feel accepted, empowered and valued and give back to our community.”

The City is also seeking feedback on how youth can become more involved in the community, services, organizations and businesses.

Additionally, they’d like to know what they can do to help youth connect to the people, initiatives and places that matter most to them.
