Burlington paid parking not being enforced due to COVID-19

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the City of Burlington has announced it will be suspending paid parking enforcement throughout the city.

effective immediately, paid parking is not required for street parking or parking in municipal lots until further notice.

Machines will be displaying signs that read “out of order,” and covered with stickers so people know to refrain from paying and touching the machines.

Additionally, parking enforcement is being limited exclusively to safety-related areas such as fire routes, accessible parking spaces, no parking/stopping areas and blocked areas.

Residents who wish to dispute a ticket may do so via phone or online only. Phone and online ticket reviews will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. until further notice.

The City is monitoring the situation and providing updates as they happen, which can be viewed online.
