Sri Rama Chinimilli of Burlington has won a Lotto 6/49 second prize worth $107,706.60.

He matched five numbers plus the bonus number to win the prize in the July 25 draw.

A 41-year-old married father, Sri Rama discovered his win while at home using the OLG Lottery App to check some tickets.

“I checked this ticket and saw the ‘Big Winner’ message,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his cheque. “Initially, I didn’t believe it”

The IT worker showed his ticket to his wife, then called OLG to find out how to claim his prize.

“When I received the validation slip at the retailer, it finally felt real,” he recalled.

“I’ve always wished for a big win. I’d like to make some donations and do some good for charity in my family’s name. I’d also like to invest in property”.

Sri Rama has been playing the lottery since he came to Canada in 2012 and never expected a win like this.

“This is huge. To save this on my own would have taken a long time. I’m really happy,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Burloak Drive in Oakville.
