A Mississauga man has been charged with robbing homes in Burlington and Oakville.

Halton Regional Police say a series of break-ins they believe are connected began last month with the first occurring at a home in the area of Cornwall Rd. and Ford Dr. in Oakville. In this case a person broke into a house and took jewellery.

Then, on October 30, an attempt was made to break into a home in the area of Thomas Alton Blvd. and Tim Dobbie Dr. in Burlington. Later that day another Burlington address was targeted when a home near Guelph Line and Upper Middle Rd. was robbed.

Police subsequently arrested and charged Leonard Wareing, 34, of Mississauga with two counts of break and entering and one count of attempting to break and enter. He is also charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Wareing was held for a bail hearing.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact Acting Detective Sergeant Ron Wright of the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4747 ext. 2284.
