Two workers at neighbouring McDonald’s at a Brampton plaza have tested positive for COVID-19.

The plaza is located at Mississauga Rd. and Williams Pkwy. with one of the McDonald’s being a standalone store while the other is located in Walmart.

According to McDonald’s Canada, the employee at the standalone store last worked on December 26. The worker in the Walmart location was last on the job December 28. Both of the positive test results came back yesterday.

The policy for McDonald’s when a worker tests positive for the coronavirus is to temporarily close the location while a thorough cleaning is carried out by a certified third-party company.

“This closure is done out of an abundance of caution for the safety of employees and the community,” the company says on its website.
