Worker at a Brampton location of Food Basics tests positive for COVID-19

Another worker at a Brampton grocery store has tested positive for COVID-19.

The case has occurred at Food Basics located at 8910 Highway 50 and Fogel Rd.

The employee last worked in the store on November 15.

According to parent company Metro, it provides daily updates of COVID 19 in its stores in an effort to be transparent for the public.

“We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres,” the company says.
