A major power outage in Brampton has been reported this morning.

Alectra Utilities said around 9:45 a.m. that they are aware of an outage that is currently affecting 960 homes and businesses in the area of Steeles Avenue West, Winston Churchill Boulevard, and Bovaird Drive.

Crews have been dispatched.

At this point, there is no estimated timeframe for when power will restored.

We’ll keep you posted with any updates.

UPDATED: Just after 11 a.m., Alectra said that power has been restored to all but two homes.
