Two People Arrested in Connection with Murder of Brampton Woman

Two people are facing charges in connection with the murder of a 35-year-old Brampton woman who was recently reported missing.

On Friday, May 19, Peel police launched an investigation following the disappearance of Beata Paciorek.

Police say that it is believed Paciorek was with several parties and operating a U-Haul rental truck headed into the Greater Sudbury Area. According to police, witness information has led investigators to believe that Paciorek was murdered during her travels between Brampton and the Greater Sudbury area following an altercation at the roadside of a highway.

Her body has yet to be located and a search is ongoing.

On Saturday May 20, Sault Ste. Marie police, under the direction of Peel Homicide officers, arrested two parties and charged them with first degree murder.

Police say Mike Madill, a 28-year-old man of no fixed address and Amy MacDonald, a 37-year-old woman (also of no fixed address) were located and arrested in the Sault Ste. Marie area.

Both parties were remanded into custody pending bail hearings on Sunday May 21.
