Two Brampton men charged in connection to hit-and-run

Peel Regional Police have charged a Brampton man in connection to a hit-and-run.

On September 17, the victim was standing outside a residential complex in the area of Steeles Avenue West and McMurchy Avenue South, when they were struck by a vehicle after engaging in conversation with the two occupants.

The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition, where they currently remain.

On September 18, the two suspects were located in the area of Steeles Avenue and Chinguacousy Road and taken into custody.

Twenty-one-year-old Brampton resident Manvir Singh was charged with:

  • One count of Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm
  • One count of Fail to Stop After Accident Resulting in Bodily Harm
  • Four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

While 33-year-old Amandeep Grewal was charged with:

  • Two counts of Accessory After the Fact to Commit an Indictable Offence 
  • Four counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Release Order
