Kyle Nguyen of Brampton has just won $100,000 by matching the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the September 8, 2020, Lotto Max draw.

“I’ve never said no to Encore,” Nguyen told OLG.

The 42-year old automotive worker told OLG he checked his tickets in the morning before work. “I told my wife how great it would be to win something. I won a Free Play on the first ticket I scanned. On the second ticket, I saw the words ‘Big Winner’!”

“It feels surreal,” Nguyen told OLG. “It took us on a crazy rollercoaster of emotions. The best part was telling our kids that we won $100,000. My daughter asked, ‘Does that mean I can get a cupcake?’”

Nguyen told OLG he plans to save his winnings to take his family on a Disney cruise when it’s safe. “This also opens up some real estate doors for us,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Avo Convenience Supermarket on Earlsbridge Boulevard in Brampton.

Mohammed Farouque of Brampton has also just won $1,886,009 in the August 29, 2020, Lottario draw.

“I’m a regular lottery player,” Farouque told OLG.

According to OLG, the married father and grandfather couldn’t believe it when he matched all the numbers on his ticket.

“I was stunned,” he said. “I sat there and absorbed the moment for a while.”

The 62-year-old then told his son about his big win, according to OLG. “I showed him a copy of the ticket and he was just as shocked as I was!”

Farouque plans to share the win with family and pay some bills.

“This is a great feeling,” he concluded. “I am so excited to win this much money. Everybody in the family is so happy!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on Steeles Avenue in Etobicoke.
