Maurice Hudson of Brampton has just won $50,000 after playing Instant Crossword.

Hudson told OLG he knew he was a winner after playing his crossword ticket because he has won before on a similar ticket.

“I’m very grateful and thankful for this win,” the father of two told OLG.

“I’m going to help others in developing countries by providing clean water, clothes and basic needs,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dairy Plus on Nanwood Drive in Brampton.

Alfonso Lanzaderas of Brampton has also won $100,000 in a winning hand of the April 3, 2020, Poker lotto draw by matching five of five cards.

Lanzaderas, a father of one, told OLG he checked his ticket on April 1 using the OLG Lottery App.

“When it said, ‘big winner,’ I thought it was some kind of April Fools’ joke my friends were playing on me,” he told OLG.

The 58-year-old said he called his sister in tears to share the news.

“She told me to make sure I check it again,” he told OLG.

Lanzaderas told OLG he was so overjoyed he had tears of joy all day long.

“I can start a new life – pay off some bills and help my family back home in the Philippines,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Rabba Fine Foods on Peel Centre Drive in Brampton.
