Even though I am not vegan, I was quite surprised how good the following plant-based dishes were. Brampton has an array of vegan restaurants and take-out spots that I consider hidden gems. Vegan food is entirely plant-based which means no dairy or meat in any of the selections below. Everything is non-GMO, organic and delicious. 5) The Food Quotient

The Food Quotient is truly a hidden gem in Brampton! They offer a variety of appetizing dishes that are entirely vegan. You can place an order on their website and they will have it ready for pick up or delivery in just 30 minutes. You can also preorder for a later time. This delivery restaurant will not disappoint! I tried their vegan poutine which was absolutely delicious. As a huge poutine fan, I was amazed by how flavourful this was. I also tried their ultimate power-packed protein bowl – organic, non-GMO curried quinoa with sprouted mung beans and black chickpeas, topped with smoked portobello mushrooms, avocado, skillet-roasted broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, asparagus, brussels sprouts, beetroot, braised kale and marinated purple cabbage. It’s exquisite and quite the pretty bowl! It’s also soy-free and nut-free. 


4) Veggie Lovers

Sometimes, you crave vegan comfort food. Well, Veggie Lovers has you covered. Their lasagna is definitely a yummy option! At this takeout spot, vegan cheese is an extra charge, but it’s worth it! After one bite, you truly would not know it’s vegan. The gooey cheese is baked to perfection and the sauce is heavenly. Call ahead and enjoy on your cozy night in.


3) Copper Branch

Copper Branch is a fully vegan restaurant with so many options to choose from! I decided to try their spicy black bean burger and it sure did not disappoint! The burger is made with black beans, sunflower seeds, sweet potato, pea protein, brown rice, red and green peppers and corn. It’s then topped with lettuce, tomatoes and finished with southwest sauce. Make it a double patty with avocado and your taste buds will thank you later!


2) Aria Bistro

Aria Bistro is a beautiful restaurant that offers a variety of dishes that can be made vegan upon request. This charming venue will have you coming back for more and the service is exceptional! As you dine in one of their cozy dining rooms, try their vegan cauliflower pasta which contains Dijon roasted cauliflower, sun-dried tomatoes, crispy breaded tofu, paired with a miso mushroom gravy and roasted potatoes. Who says vegan food has to be boring?

Khalsa Pizza offers a delicious vegan pizza (made with vegan cheese), and trust me, you cannot tell the difference. This is obviously one of your healthier choices, and it’s delicious too! Call ahead and have it made fresh just for you. This is a takeout spot so we recommend picking it up and making it a movie night at home with a delightful vegan pizza!
