It’s been cold in Brampton recently.

Like really cold.

It’s been cold in Brampton recently.

Like really cold.

So, it’s hard to imagine that just a few short months ago we were wearing t-shirts, bathing suits, and soaking up the summer sun.

Sadly, the summer of 2019 is still months away. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy some of your favourite summer activities such as swimming, relaxing, and sliding down waterslides.

Going to an indoor waterpark is one way to indulge in summer festivities in the wintertime. And if you’re up for a road trip, indoor waterparks can also make the perfect mini-vacation.

Here are the top five indoor waterparks you need to visit outside of Brampton.

5. The Wave Pool

Richmond Hill

As its name suggests the Wave Pool in Richmond Hill is an indoor wave pool for children and adults alike to enjoy. However, that’s not all.

The Wave Pool also includes an on-deck sauna (perfect for when you’re craving the summer heat), a warm water swirl pool, a water basketball net, water mats, a waterslide with rainbow effects, and so much more.

4. Great Wolf Lodge

Niagara Falls

The Niagara region is a hotspot for indoor waterparks. So much so that three out of the five places we mention on this list are located in the region.

And the first one we’re discussing is Great Wolf Lodge.

Great Wolf Lodge is located across the border from Buffalo and is just south of Toronto.

And it’s indoor waterpark is next level.

It includes the Canada Vortex – a slide which drops four stories in just seconds, a water fort treehouse, cabana rentals, the Wooly Mammoth – a family raft ride slide, the Niagara Rapids Run – a water roller coaster, a wave pool, and so much more.

3. Plunge! Blue Mountain

Collingwood

Blue Mountain is not just a place where skiers and snowboarders congregate in the wintertime. It is also incredible in the summertime.

Regardless if you’re not a skier or snowboarder and want to check out Blue Mountain in the wintertime, or if you’re just looking for something different to do, there is still lots to explore.

One place worth checking out is Plunge!, an indoor and outdoor pool facility that has hot tubs, waterslides, a rope swing and lots more.

2. Americana

Niagara Falls

The second indoor waterpark on this list that’s in the Niagara region!

This waterpark provides visitors with tropical weather (84 degrees) year-round, and features a retractable roof (and is the only waterpark in the region with this feature), a beach-entry wave pool, tube and body slides, a giant tipping bucket, an activity pool, a 16-person hot spa, and much, much more.

1. Fallsview Indoor Waterpark

Niagara Falls

At the top of our list is another indoor waterpark located in Niagara, and for a good reason.

It features 16 different waterslides, a wave pool, hot springs, the Toob Tower, The Canadian Plunge, the Beach House, the Niagara Tipping Bucket, and the Fallsview Beach.

This location is 125,000 square feet and truly has something for the entire family.

Back in August of 2018, this waterpark was awarded a TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for the sixth year in a row.
