Here are the 5 hottest restaurants in Brampton for the week of March 1 – 7, based on the amount of organic page views and searches these restaurants received on inbrampton.com.
Looking for something sweet and savoury? Satisfy all your taste buds with the Spicy Southern Chicken and Waffles at J. Red & Co Food + Drink. Once you bite into this curious combination, you’ll discover that chicken and waffles were made for each other! The spicy chicken and maple syrup created a well-balanced mixture of flavour that I like to call sweet heat. The crispy onion rings were the cherry on top. The brunch menu (only offered on weekends from 11am to 3pm) has a great mix of classic breakfast items and regular appetizer/lunch options.
The Food Quotient is truly a hidden gem in Brampton! They offer a variety of appetizing dishes that are entirely vegan. You can place an order on their website and they will have it ready for pick up or delivery in just 30 minutes. You can also preorder for a later time. This delivery restaurant will not disappoint! I tried their vegan poutine which was absolutely delicious. As a huge poutine fan, I was amazed by how flavourful this was. I also tried their ultimate power-packed protein bowl – organic, non-GMO curried quinoa with sprouted mung beans and black chickpeas, topped with smoked portobello mushrooms, avocado, skillet-roasted broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, asparagus, brussels sprouts, beetroot, braised kale and marinated purple cabbage. It’s exquisite and quite the pretty bowl! It’s also soy-free and nut-free.
This popular brunch spot enjoyed by many locals is located on Fisherman Drive in Brampton. If you’re looking for a meal that turns heads when it arrives at your table, look no further than the Scrambled Eggs on Skillet. Scrambled eggs are piled high on a bed of soft home fries in a skillet that is topped with cheese and hollandaise sauce. There are 7 different options to choose from (Fresh Garden pictured). This is something you won’t find on any other brunch menu which is exactly why I had to try it! It is reminiscent of a breakfast poutine. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend (it’ll be worth it!).
Located on McLaughlin Rd, Stacy Lee’s is a cozy spot for brunch in Brampton. The Blueberry Waffle was light and fluffy and the blueberry topping was perfectly sweet and bursting with flavour. The welcoming atmosphere brings warmth on a cold winter day. I’m confident that anything ordered off the menu at Stacy Lee’s will be delicious! The hard part will be deciding what to order. It is truly a unique spot worth visiting with family and friends.
So this is the best Florentine Eggs Benedict I’ve had in my life. Period. Just writing about it brings on a craving. Complementing certain tastes and flavours is an art form; it’s very rarely something that is left to chance. The blend of hollandaise sauce, egg whites, yolk, spinach, mushroom, and English Muffin all complement each other to such a perfect degree that it tastes like one solid flavour within the same profile. Confusing? Think of a colour spectrum where you can see blue change to green as you move your eyes through the spectrum. Now think of this dish as being able to let you taste the entire spectrum all in one bite without skipping a single transition – powerful stuff! As if this wasn’t enough, they went ahead and seasoned their potatoes beautifully to add a little spice to your meal. Crunchy, savoury, and a little bit salty. Brampton, this is one of your best Eggs Benedict by far!
