Cheesecake is a classic dessert option that’s on a handful of menus across Brampton. This creamy, smooth, delicious dessert has to be done right for peak enjoyment levels, and a few places in Brampton will make you want a second slice!

Whether you like your cheesecake drizzled in chocolate sauce, bite-sized, or even smothered in blueberry compote, there’s guaranteed to be a cheesecake you love here in Brampton.

Here are the top five places to grab a slice of cheesecake in Brampton.

5) Cantina Fellini

Be warned: this cheesecake has double the cake – there’s a layer of white cake in the centre! Cantina Fellini is a sophisticated date spot in the heart of downtown Brampton, where they make a silky cheesecake from scratch. This slice of cheesecake comes with quite a few trimmings. There’s strawberries, whipped cream, blueberries, both caramel and chocolate sauce, and a sweet, crumbly crust encasing the cheese. This slice is a little on the sweet side, but the best part is the sheer fact that there is cake…in the cake! This slice rings in at about $8. Pro tip: grab a specialty coffee with your slice – delicious.

4) Bucatini

Another Italian resto and wine bar in Brampton, this time at Hurontario and Bovaird, this chic spot serves one scrumptious slice of cheesecake. Bucatini serves a classic, New York style cheesecake topped with strawberry sauce, and here’s the fun part – you can add a cognac or grand marnier drizzle! The texture is perfect on this one – smooth, creamy, and the sweetness and portion size are just right – a great cap off to your dinner, or a one-off when you’re craving cheesecake. Their service and presentation is also great, though I might ask them to avoid the cocoa powder next time (personal preference). This slice rings in at $9, plus $5 for a drizzle.

3) Queen Gypsy

This warm, comforting Serbian restaurant in downtown Brampton on Main serves a mean slice of cheesecake. After your perogies, your goulash, or your schnitzel, I would highly recommend the cheesecake, which is served with blueberry reduction, fresh fruit, and icing sugar. Make sure that when you cut into the cheesecake with your fork, you smother it in the blueberry reduction and get a forkful of fruits with each bite – so, so delicious. It’s silky and the crust is on point. Try to refrain from licking the plate clean after your $6 slice.

2) La Cakery

This cute bake shop near Queen and McLaughlin serves a bunch of delectable desserts – custard tarts, made-to-order cakes, cookies, and beyond. They’ve been around for a few years now, and with good reason – their sweets are pretty epic. As for their cheesecake, you can grab a personal cheesecake like this one for just under $4, or you can order an entire cheesecake (perfect for your solo Friday night…or a birthday party!). The personal cheesecake is New York style, and topped with strawberries and dollops of whipped cream. Whether you’re looking for just a taste of cheesecake or an entire cheese, La Cakery’s creamy creation will keep you coming back for more.

1) Antica Osteria

Creamy. Delicious. Homemade. Cheesecake. After your massive Italian meal at this classy resto tucked away on Mayfield near Hurontario, you must try their cheesecake – there’s always room for dessert after all. Dripping in a strawberry sauce and leaning on more strawberries, the classic $7 cheesecake at Antica Osteria is absolutely amazing. Once you try this silky goodness, you may never go back. You may just head to Antica for a glass of wine and a slice of cheesecake, and be on your way. The crust and filling is light, the sauce is a perfect compliment, and you will definitely want seconds…and thirds.

Bonus:

Kin-Kin Bakery and Bubble Tea at Shoppers World sells entire Japanese cheesecakes! Light, fluffy, and only $10 a pie – you must try what might be the only Japanese cheesecake in Brampton.
