Tinted car windows lead to drug charges against two Brampton residents

A traffic stop along Highway 401 in eastern Ontario has led to charges against two Brampton residents.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, officers on routine patrol on January 9 stopped a vehicle because it had heavily tinted windows and they could not see inside.
Once stopped, the officers found the car had expired plates and was not insured.
A further investigation led to charges against:
Tarandeep Singh Jaggi, 21, of Brampton, with:
• Possession of a schedule 1 substance (cocaine)
• Operating a motor vehicle without insurance
• Colour coating obscuring interior of vehicle
• Fail to comply with Probation
• Driving a motor vehicle with no currently validated permit
Surjeet Sing Lally, 49, of Brampton with:
• Possession of a stolen credit card
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Possession of an identity document
• Fail to comply with probation
• Possession of a schedule I substance – (methamphetamine)
Shangharsa Paudel, 26, of Cambridge with:
• Fail to comply with probation
• Possession of a schedule I substance – (heroin)
All accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 30, 2020.
