The itch to keep scratching has made a Brampton man a quarter-of-a-millionaire.

Timothy Power, 42, said he picks his instant win tickets by their design and colour so the Instant Cash Out Multiplier scratch game caught his eye. The result is $250,000 in his pocket (Game #2223).

“I won a few smaller prizes on this game, so I kept playing it,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his winnings. “I didn’t make it to the main part of the game when I matched all three $250,000 symbols.”

Once he realized he was a winner, Power said paced around his house for what seemed like hours. Finally he woke up his wife.

“I told her, ‘I think we won the lottery. I need you to look at this ticket for me,’” said Power. “There was no sleep that night.”

Power plans on paying some bills and getting work done around the house. “We may look for some land to purchase as well,” he smiled.

“I’m on cloud nine – I feel so blessed,” he concluded.

The winning ticket was purchased at Extra Gift and Smokes on Vodden St. in Brampton.
