Significant Changes To Brampton Transit Routes And Services

Brampton Transit will be implementing several schedule changes, adding two new routes and a new service. 

Beginning September 3, 2019, Brampton Transit will add routes 28 Wanless and 81 Mayfield West as well as 50A Gore Road, a new service.  

Route 28 Wanless will service the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, operating from Mount Pleasant GO Station to Hurontario Street, south of Wanless Drive. 

The existing routes in Mount Pleasant – routes 26 Mount Pleasant and 27 Robert Parkinson – will be realigned to provide more service coverage to the community, with additional weekend service.

Route 81 Mayfield West will offer service from Brampton to Caledon. It will operate between the Sandalwood Loop and Newhouse Boulevard/Bonnieglen Farm on Kennedy Road in the Southfields Village neighbourhood.

Brampton Transit is also adding a new service to support the increase of rides, particularly during weekday peak periods.

Route 50A Gore Road will operate between Gore Meadows Community Centre and Humber College in the weekday AM peak. It aims to support the increased ridership to Humber College.

Brampton Transit is also increasing service frequency, including a new seven-minute frequency on 502 Züm Main on weekday mornings, and five-minute service westbound from York University on 501A/501C Züm Queen. There will also be minor changes to service frequency to 60 Mississauga Road, 57 Charolais, 54 County Court, 53 Ray Lawson, 36 Gardenbrooke, 35 Clarkway, 27 Robert Parkinson, 26 Mount Pleasant, 11/11A Steeles, 9 Vodden, 8 Centre, 4/4A Chinguacousy and 1/1A Queen.

Brampton Transit’s new service information brochure will be available at its Clark and Sandalwood facilities beginning the week of August 26, and buses beginning this weekend.
