Seven cases of COVID-19 recorded in Brampton Shoppers Drug Mart locations

COVID-19 continues to creep into Shoppers Drug Mart stores in Brampton with seven new COVID-19 cases in three stores recorded the past two days.

At the Shoppers located at Chinguacousy Rd. and Sandalwood Pkwy W., four workers tested positive for the virus today. They last worked at the store on December 1, 2 and 4.

Also today, a worker at the Chinguacousy Rd. and Queen St. W. location tested positive. That person was last on the job December 4.

As well, yesterday, two workers tested positive at the store located at Hurontario St. and Mayfield Rd. They last worked on December 3 and 5.

Parent company Loblaws said they are making public all known positive tests for the virus and that it is working closely with public health officials and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in the stores.
