Rogers providing support for customers impacted by COVID-19

Rogers has announced it will be doing its part to help those impacted by the coronavirus.

In order to keep Canadians connected to the internet, and keep parents from losing their minds while trying to keep their kids occupied while they’re off school, Rogers has announced it will be waving overage fees for home internet use effective March 14 until May 31; waving long-distance fees for Rogers home phone customers effective March 16 until April 30; and offering Rogers TV and Ignite TV customers free access to certain channels effective March 16 until April 30.

Channels which will be available for free to customers include:

    • Kid Friendly: Disney, Disney Jr., Family Channel, Family Jr., YTV, Treehouse, Teletoon and ABC Spark
    • Premium: FX
    • Movies: Hollywood Suite (70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s)
    • Lifestyle: HGTV, Slice, National Geographic, BBC Earth and Smithsonian
    • Multicultural: New Tang Dynasty, TV Asia

Additionally, Rogers announced they will not be cutting off services due to lack of payments for at least the next 90 days, as well as offering flexible payment options for those struggling financially due to COVID-19.
