Road Closures in Downtown Brampton for Festival Today

Due to the Classic Cars festival this weekend, the city has announced some road closures!
Due to the Classic Cars festival this weekend, the city has announced some road closures!
The following roads are closed today, Saturday, July 22, 2017:
- Guest Street from Main Street South to Beatty Avenue from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
- Main Street North from Queen Street to Nelson Street West/Theatre Lane from 1:00 p.m. to midnight
- Main Street South from Queen Street to Wellington Street from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Main Street South from Wellington Street to Clarence Street from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Queen Street East from Main Street to Theatre Lane/Chapel Street from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Queen Street West from Main Street to George Street from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Wellington Street West from Main Street South to George Street South from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
It’s best to take alternate routes or go out and enjoy the festival.
Here’s what’s happening at the festival, a vintage car show:
A bunch of family-friendly entertainment is coming to the downtown core, including the annual Classic Cars Parade at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Show & Shine from 2:00-5:00 p.m., and the movie Cars in Garden Square at 5 p.m.
There will be music and street parties for the rest of the night, with Jeff Sommerville, the Goodfellas, and Elvis Presley, Shania Twain, and Frank Sinatra tribute artists lined up, and a huge party on Main Street from 8-11 p.m.
