Officers and paramedics have responded to a collision this afternoon.

Police were called shortly before 5:00 p.m. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Highway 50 and Castlemore Road.

The male victim has been transported to a local hospital. The severity of his injuries is currently unknown, police say.

Officers remain on scene.

Northbound Highway 50 is closed in the area until further notice.
