Power Outage Affecting Residents and Traffic Lights in Brampton

Some Brampton residents may be experiencing a slight damper on their Christmas evening.

Brampton Hydro reported around 6:40 p.m. that a power outage is affecting residents in the area of Steeles Avenue and the 410. Approximately 1,494 hydro customers are currently affected by the outage.

The outage may also be affecting certain traffic lights in the city. Peel Police report that lights are out at the intersection of Charolais Boulevard and McMurchy Avenue South, and drivers are urged to be cautious.

Crews have been dispatched to deal with the outage. The estimated time of repair is 8:45 p.m.

UPDATE: All power has been restored.
