A popular Brampton Ristorante is set to reopen at the end of this month after a year of renovations!
Vesuvio Ristorante at Main and Queen in downtown Brampton has been closed for just over a year now after a water pipe burst last year. The restaurant flooded on March 16, 2016, and was forced to close.
That didn’t stop Vesuvio – the homey Italian joint has been making moves to reopen ever since, and plans to reopen by the end of May.
“We redid the whole restaurant, everything’s brand new,” owner Maurizio Dacunto told inbrampton.com.

This well-known spot has been a classic in Brampton since 1963, and residents will definitely want to check out how it’s changed since it flooded last March.
Their most popular dishes are their manicotti, their gnocchi, and their wood-burning pizzas which start at about $16. They boast pizza, pasta, mains, and desserts.
“Everything is homemade, just like grandma makes,” said Dacunto.
Vesuvio also has a patio that will be open for the summer.
The restaurant will reopen at the end of May, have a soft opening event in July, and shut down the streets with a grand opening festival in August.
