Police seeking information regarding fatal collision involving several Brampton residents

Two people have died as a result of a collision in Mississauga. 

On October 8, first responders were called to the area of Mclaughlin Road and Highway 407 in relation to a two-vehicle collision involving a silver Honda Civic and a red Mercedes Benz. 

The Civic was being driven by a 21-year-old man from Brampton while a 23-year-old woman and a 19-year-old woman were passengers ar the time of the crash. 

The Benz was being driven by a 66-year-old man from Brampton while a 39-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man, and a 64-year-old man were passengers at the time of the crash. 

Upon arrival, the 19-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Civic, was pronounced dead at the scene—all other passengers were transported to hospital. 

On October 10, the 64-year-old man who was a passenger in the Benz succumbed to his injuries. 

“On behalf of all the men and women of the Peel Regional Police we empathize with the families and friends who lost their loved ones due to this very tragic collision,” Nishan Duraiappah chief of Peel Regional Police, said in a news release.

The investigation is still on-going, and anyone with relevant information is urged to contact investigators at the Major Collision Bureau at 905-453-2121, extension 3710.
