Police responding to residence in Brampton with weapons

Peel police received a call at 7:22 am in regard to an adult male at a Brampton residence with weapons.

Police say the adult male was in a residence on Wellington St.

Police say the adult male was in a residence on Wellington St.

Tactical, Peel Regional Police Canine Unit and Crisis Negotiators were on scene and there is a heavy police presence in the area.

Police say Wellington St. is currently shut down between Mill St. and Elizabeth St. and they are advising the public to avoid the area.

UPDATE: Police say the male is in custody for weapon offences and that no physical injuries were sustained during this incident.
