Police investigating after woman assaulted by male with sword in Brampton

There’s a high police presence in Brampton this afternoon as officers investigate a weapons-related incident.

Police were called at 2:37 p.m. for a woman assaulted by a male with a sword in the area of Centre St North and Woodward Ave.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The male is in police custody.
