Police in Brampton search for man suspected of stabbing his mother

Peel Police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing his mother in Brampton this afternoon.

The man is 29-year-old Prateek Mann who is described as South Asian, 5-foot-7, medium build with black hair closely shaved. He was last seen wearing grey pants, a black hoodie with white writing saying “car heart”, a blue surgical mask and socks. He was holding black running shoes.

Police say if you see the suspect do not approach, instead call 911.

The incident unfolded today (February 20) just after 1 pm. on Newbury Cres. when it was reported a man had stabbed a woman. She is listed in stable condition in hospital.
