Police have made multiple arrests in connection to a series of thefts in Brampton.

From January to April 2021, Peel Regional Police (PRP) has been investigating a string of break-ins and thefts—including thefts from vehicles—in the downtown area of the city.

As of Wednesday (April 21), PRP has charged 13 individuals with 66 charges, and recovered $50,000 worth of stolen property.

Additionally, police believe there may be more victims who either have not reported the crimes, or do not even know they were victimized—police are urging residents to check their sheds and garages for missing items.

Residents who believe they may have been a victim can report their items missing online.

Further, anyone with relevant information is urged to contact the 22 Division Break and Enter Unit at 905-453-2121, extension 2233.
