Police Arrest Second Brampton Male in Dog Abuse Case

Police have now identified both men who were wanted in connection with a disturbing animal cruelty incident that took place in Brampton.
Police have now identified both men who were wanted in connection with a disturbing animal cruelty incident that took place in Brampton.
As a result of the investigation, on April 25, 2017, officers identified and arrested a 29-year-old male from Brampton. He was charged with one count of Cruelty to Animals.
Last Tuesday, on June 27, 2017, officers identified and arrested the second male, a 28-year-old from Brampton. He has also been charged with one count of Cruelty to Animals.
Officers could not confirm the names of the men.

The incident took place back in April of this year.
On Wednesday, April 19, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers were notified of a troubling incident involving a dog that occurred on Saturday, April 15 at approximately 3:00 a.m. in the Bramalea Road and Sandalwood Parkway area.
According to police, an investigation revealed that two male suspects were seen at an outdoor patio establishment with a small Yorkshire Terrier dog. The dog and the suspects remained at the establishment for several hours and at approximately 10:45 a.m. the suspects left the area, leaving the dog behind.
Staff members at the establishment located the seriously injured dog, which was subsequently taken to a local veterinarian hospital and euthanized due to the severity of its injuries.
