Investigators from Peel’s Street Crime Gang Unit arrested a man in Brampton upon finding a loaded firearm in his possession.

Trevon Williams, an 18-year-old from Toronto, was investigated on Wednesday, November 2 at around 3:30 p.m.

According to police, a loaded 22 caliber handgun with 5 additional live rounds of ammunition were found in a bag the suspect was carrying.

Williams, who was arrested in the area of Chinguacousy Road and Bovaird Drive, is facing several charges related to unauthorized possession of a firearm. He appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton the following day for a special bail hearing.
