Police are investigating a serious collision in Brampton.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle this evening at Brisdale and Bovaird Drive near Chinguacousy Road.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle this evening at Brisdale and Bovaird Drive near Chinguacousy Road.

The victim is being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Until further notice, the intersection is closed to eastbound and westbound traffic as the Major Collision Bureau investigates.

Residents should avoid the area for now.
