Number of people hospitalized with COVID in Brampton, Etobicoke is on the rise

A sharp increase in hospitalized COVID-19 cases is being reported today at William Osler Health System.

Brampton Civic Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital are the locations where the patients are being treated.

The new numbers released today show that 110 people are being treated for the virus in the hospitals. That is an increase of 12 patients from this time last week.

Of those with confirmed cases, 12 are being treated in the critical care unit.

As well, the hospitals are treating an additional 67 people who are suspected of having COVID-19. These numbers are also an increase from the week before where 51 suspected cases led to hospitalization.
