A much-anticipated free street party that was set to hit Brampton this past weekend was indeed cancelled, however, a new date has been announced for the massive event – and it’s very, very soon!
Food, music, and dancing await you at the Party in McArter Lane in just two days on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from 6-10 p.m.
Originally, the Culture Days event was supposed to happen on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6-10 p.m., however, if you recall, the weather was quite sad that day and the event was cancelled due to high winds, according to the Downtown Brampton BIA.
As for Wednesday’s Party in the LANE, the street festival will be boast vendors, a photobooth, food, and more, just like it would have on Friday. There haven’t been any obvious changes other than the date.
What exactly is in store for the street party, you ask?
Well, almost 15 vendors will set up shop in the lane. And, yes, several of them are food vendors, and all of them are local.
Dolcezza Custom Cakes, Wendel Clark’s, La Gran Uruguaya, Sul Irmaos Smokehouse, Fanzorelli’s, Queen Gypsy are confirmed to take over McArter that night for the festivities.
The laneway will be decorated with everything fall, so you’ll definitely have some Instagram-worthy pics when the night’s over.
PhotoboothTO will even be there will party props and a photobooth, which is always fun.
As for entertainment, so far, the David Love Band has been confirmed to play from about 6-7:30 p.m. Then, dance it out with free salsa, bachata, and kizomba lessons by 123 salsa from 7:30-8:15 p.m. Finally, jam with the Stacey Renee Band from 8:15-10 p.m.
The last time there was a Party in the LANE was on Vivian Lane as part of the Classic Cars Celebration back in June.
So, get ready to eat, dance, and have a good time on hump day, Brampton!
