Missing Brampton man has trouble communicating, police and family appeal for assistance

Jagtar Phagura has been located safe and is reunited with his family

Family members and police are concerned about the health of a man who has gone missing from his Brampton home.

Officers from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau say Jagtar Phagura was seen leaving his residence at Fairhill Ave. and Worthington Ave. at around 2 a.m. this morning (December 21) and was last seen around 8 a.m. walking north on Chinguacousy Rd. from Sandalwood Pkwy.

Police say Phagura may have trouble communicating because of a medical condition.

He is 38-years-old, South Asian, 5-foot-7, 125 lbs with a thin build. He is bald with short black hair on the sides and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing a red plaid shirt and black or blue track pants.

In the past, Phagura has been known to visit Caledon and areas of Halton.

Helicopters are currently patrolling areas of Brampton as part of the search.
