Man Seriously Injured in Fail to Remain Collision in Brampton

Officers are investigating an overnight crash in Brampton.

Police were called at 1:49 a.m. for a collision involving two vehicles at Steeles Avenue and Winston Churchill Boulevard.

Police were called at 1:49 a.m. for a collision involving two vehicles at Steeles Avenue and Winston Churchill Boulevard.

Paramedics responded to the scene and took one victim, an adult male driver, to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The other vehicle did not remain on scene, police say.

At 2:13 a.m., police reported that the entire intersection is being closed down for the investigation.

The intersection may reopen by 9:00 a.m.

Residents are asked to avoid the area for now.


UPDATE: The other driver in this incident has been located, police reported at 8:25 a.m.

The Major Collision Bureau is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
