Man charged in relation to retail robbery series in Brampton

Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged an adult male in relation to five retail robberies in Brampton in which a weapon was used.

Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau have arrested and charged an adult male in relation to five retail robberies in Brampton in which a weapon was used.

Police say the robberies occurred between January and March 2020 and no physical injuries were sustained. 

On Thursday, October 15th, 2020, at approximately 9:45 pm, police received information from the public that the suspect was in the area of Bramalea Road and Sandalwood Parkway in Brampton, according to police.

The suspect was located and arrested by uniform officers and the Central Robbery Bureau took over the investigation, police say.   

Mangot Prabhkaran, a 20-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with five counts of robbery and will be held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
