Man Arrested in Homicide Investigation in Brampton

Police are investigating a recent homicide in Brampton.

Police are investigating a recent homicide in Brampton.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, officers responded to a call for medical assistance at a residence at Middleton Way and MacKay Street North.

Upon arriving at the scene, police located a male victim suffering from obvious signs of trauma.

Brampton man Valentino Pauletto, 46, later succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators have arrested John Albert Lopez, 36, of no fixed address. He is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Lopez appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing today (April 9).

This is the ninth homicide of the year in Peel, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.
