Man arrested in connection with series of gas station and convenience store robberies in Brampton

Peel Regional Police have arrested and charged a 51-year-old Caledon man in connection with a series of alleged robberies targeting gas stations and a convenience store in Brampton.

Police allege that around 2:00 pm on May 22, 2021, a suspect armed with a knife entered a gas station in the Hurontario Street and Utah Road area and demanded and took property and cash from the store before fleeing.

According to police, the same suspect allegedly entered another gas station in the Queen Street East and Humberwest Parkway area on May 24 and, armed with a knife, took cash from the cash register before fleeing the store.

On May 26, the same armed suspect allegedly entered a convenience store in the Main Street North and Archibald Street area and took property and cash from the store before fleeing.

No injuries were sustained over the course of the alleged robberies.

Police say that on May 26, investigators located and arrested the suspect with the assistance of tactical officers.

Police say that Alan Walsh has been charged with three counts of robbery, three counts of wearing a disguise with intent and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

He will appear in court on May 27, 2021.
