Man Arrested After Crash Kills Three in Brampton

Police have made an arrest following a fatal highway crash that happened in Brampton.

The incident took place around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4.

An SUV and a sports car were both travelling on Highway 50 when they became involved in a collision, police say.

As a result, three Woodbridge residents — a 47 year old woman, a 12 year old girl, and a 7 year old boy — all succumbed to their injuries.

Three other people were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Monday, September 24, police arrested 45 year old Caledon man Paul Manzon. He is charged with the following offences:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death (3 counts)
  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm
  • Criminal Negligence in the Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death (3 counts)
  • Criminal Negligence in the Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm

Manzon was released and is scheduled to appear at court on October 22, 2018.
