Major road closed due to crash in Brampton

Residents should be aware of a road closure this afternoon.

It was reported shortly before 1:00 p.m. that two vehicles were involved in a collision at Queen St East and Cherrycrest Dr.

Injuries are unknown.

Queen St East is currently closed from McVean Dr and westbound from Cherrycrest.

Police say traffic can still travel northbound on Cherrycrest from Queen St.

UPDATE: A pickup truck and transport truck were involved in the crash, police say.

The adult male driver of the pickup truck has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Road closures remain in effect.
