Just like 2015, it was a clean sweep for the Liberal party in Brampton last night, as the Liberals won all five ridings.

Of the five elected MPs, four were incumbents—only Maninder Sidhu, who won in Brampton East, is a new MP.

Ramesh Sanga won the Brampton Centre riding, Ruby Sahota won the Brampton North riding, Sonia Sidhu won the Brampton South riding, and Kamal Khera won the Brampton West riding.

It wasn’t a particularly close race, as most of the winning MPs won by a wide margin. The closest race was in Brampton South as Sidhu won by just a few thousand votes.
