Huge Street Party Set to Hit Brampton

It’s no secret that some of the best outdoor festivals happen in Brampton! If you love street parties, dancing, and delicious food, a huge event is coming to Brampton that you won’t want to miss.
Party in the LANES is an annual event where downtown Brampton’s laneways are transformed into incredible street parties complete with local vendors, food, dancing, live music, and tons of fun.
On Friday June 22, 2018, from 6-10 p.m., downtown Brampton is the place to be for the Party in the LANES!
From dance lessons to music and performances, the big event will take place in three areas across downtown Brampton, in McArter Lane, at Daily Times Square, and on George Street South.

Live Your Life
McArter Lane, 27 Main Street North
- 6-10 p.m. Neil Chapman Band
- 6:45 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 8:45 p.m. Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue lessons
Vendors: Deborah Kenny Jewellery, DasBrezelHaus, Stephan’s Furs, Dolcezza Custom Cakes, Brampton Denture Clinic and Wellness Centre, Arrow and Vine, Juice and Rocco’s, Morning Glory, Superior Shea Butter Blends, Restyle Consignment, Fanzorelli’s Restaurant and The Scented L’air.
Times Square Fiesta!
Daily Times Square, 33 Queen Street West
- 6-6:45 p.m. Bachata lessons
- 6:45-8 p.m. Grupo Rey
- 8-8:45 p.m. Salsa lessons
- 8:45-10 p.m. Grupo Rey
Vendors: Eat at Joey’s Deli, Baci Gifts, La Favorita, La Gran Uruguaya and Primerica.
Jazz & Bhangra Festival
George Street South
- 6-10 p.m. Jazz band performance by B-Jazzed
- 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m. Flower City Bhangra performances
Vendors: Steaming Cups Café, Beauty Addict Salon, JN Asensio Reality and Flower City Bhangra.
These three areas in downtown Brampton are going to be jam-packed with different events, and there is guaranteed to be something for everyone.
“These parties are bigger and better than ever with amazing entertainment all evening long, from 6-10 p.m.,” says Andrea Magana, Marketing and Events Specialist, Downtown Brampton BIA
“Each laneway will feature and showcase the unique downtown Brampton businesses and delicious food. We’re proud to partner with local organizations such as B-Jazzed and Flower City Bhangra to bring the Party in the LANES entertainment to a whole new level.”
And it’s true that the event is free to attend.
“Party in the LANES shows a variety of different cultures in each laneway so you can experience South Asian entertainment, Latin Fusion, German flavours, and much more,” says Magana.
Best of all, there isn’t just one Party in the LANES this year. This huge street party is coming back for two more days throughout the summer – Friday July 20 and Friday August 17.
“The Downtown Brampton BIA is really excited to be hosting Party in LANES as a standalone event for the summer of 2018!” said Suzy Godefroy, executive director, Downtown Brampton BIA.
“Make sure to mark these three Friday night parties in your summer calendar: Friday June 22, Friday July 20 and Friday August 17. This is a great way to explore and enjoy Brampton’s downtown core with each laneway being hosted by our downtown retailers and restaurateurs.”
This event could not be hosted without the support of the City of Brampton and local downtown businesses.
So slip on your dancing shoes, pull on your eating pants, and gear up for this epic kick off to summer in Brampton!
