Following a fatal crash that left two Brampton residents dead, money is being raised through a recently established GoFundMe.

Kulvir Singh Sidhu, 53, and Kulwinder Kaur Sidhu, 51 were involved in a crash in St. Catharines on Wednesday morning, October 2.

It’s reported that the couple was driving on Highway 406 near Glendale Avenue after dropping their daughter off at university. They were hit head-on by a car driving in the wrong direction, prompting their vehicle to catch fire.

The two were pronounced dead at the scene.

The GoFundMe was set up by friends and family of the victims to help pay for the funeral and other related expenses.

At the time of writing, more than 700 donors have raised $35,200, more than half of the $50,000 goal.

“We are grateful to everyone for all the support and love we have recieved so far and would greatly appreciate any financial help that you could provide.”

Kulvir and Kulwinder immigrated from India to Canada in 2003, where they resided in Brampton.
