A former high-ranking Brampton official has been named chief of staff for the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Al Meneses, the former commissioner of community services for Brampton, was named the chief administrative officer (CAO) of Georgian Bluffs earlier this month.

Georgian Bluffs is township of 11,000 people located near Owen Sound.

Meneses spent more than 10 years with the City of Brampton in various roles, but spent the last four years as the commissioner responsible for recreation, parks and forestry. He also spent a short time as acting CAO of Brampton in 2019 during the City’s search to permanently fill the position.

“I am excited to be joining Georgian Bluffs and helping council achieve the community’s goals and priorities,” Meneses said. “I worked in a big city, but I am looking forward to becoming part of a community and getting the pulse of the community,”
