Five Teens Arrested After Multiple People Injured in Carjackings in Brampton

Five youths are facing charges in connection with seven carjackings that took place in the City of Brampton.

Peel police allege that between Thursday, Sept. 27 and Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, officers investigated a series of seven reported carjacking robberies in the Brampton area.

On Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, police arrested and charged a 14 year old youth with one count of robbery and one count of possession of stolen property. The youth was held for a bail hearing.

On Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, members of the Central Robbery Bureau executed search warrants at Brampton residences associated to two young offenders. During the course of the search, police allegedly recovered offence related clothing, victim identifications and a key belonging to a vehicle stolen during one of the carjacking robberies.

That same day, police arrested and charged a 15 year old youth from Brampton with seven counts of robbery and a 17 year old youth from Brampton with six counts of robbery.

Both were held for a bail hearing.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, officers arrested and charged two additional youths from Brampton.

Police say they arrested and charged a 15 year old youth with one count of robbery and a 17 year old youth with two counts of robbery.

Both were held for a bail hearing.

Police say the victims in all incidents suffered minor injuries.
