PAMA invites you to explore the complexities of black and white composition through a series of captivating drawings by Toronto artist Ronald Bloore. Drawn solely from the art collection at PAMA, Ronald Bloore: Black and White features 27 unique works of art on paper curated by resident senior curator Darrin Martens.
Bloore’s highly graphic, intimate and expressive drawings allow us to consider relationships, patterns and form in entirely new ways. They narrate a journey into the brilliance that only black and white compositions can provide” said Martens.
Ronald Bloore: Black and White will be on view Thursday, January 31 through to Tuesday, May 28.This selection of works examines compositional space and brings together a lesser known vein of the artist’s career providing PAMA the opportunity to research and present new ideas about Bloore. In Black and White, Bloore maintains his structural focus while emphasizing a hard-edged approach to abstract forms.

The afternoon will include feature speakers, a special performance by the Heritage Singers Canada plus light refreshments. (FREE admission)
