Emergency crews on scene of residential fire in Brampton

Peel emergency crews are on the scene of a residential fire in Brampton Friday morning (Dec. 4).
Brampton Fire crews, Peel Police and Peel Paramedics were called to the area of McLaughlin Road and Williams Parkway just before 4 a.m.
Details remain scarce at this time, but police say there is an investigation underway and further updates will be provided later in the day.
UPDATE: Peel Police say a woman was found dead in the home and a 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the incident.
The homicide and missing persons unit has been called in to investigate, according to a police spokesperson and the Ontario Fire Marshal has been notified.
The home suffered significant damage as a result of the fire.
